Mr. Ateeb Gul

Ateeb Gul is Teaching Fellow/Senior Editor at the Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences, LUMS. He graduated from LUMS with a B.Sc. (hons.) in the Social Sciences and from the Boston University’s Editorial Institute with an M.A. in Editorial Studies. He worked for three years as Editor at Oxford University Press, Pakistan. He was Senior Editor and Writer at the Suleman Dawood School of Business, LUMS. Before starting his Editorial Studies program he worked as Assistant Features Editor at The Friday Times and as Administrative Editor of Bunyad: A Journal of Urdu Studies. He has written features and op-eds for The Friday Times, The News, The Nation, Dawn, and the American Historical Association’s Perspectives on History. His English translation of a poem by Faiz Ahmed Faiz was published in Literary Imagination. A professional editor and indexer, his research interests include scholarly writing and editing, Islamic intellectual history, and poetry and translations of poetry across world literatures.
